• Nintendos Latest Wacky DSi Ware Game hits Japan

  Nintendo is known for its wacky DSi Ware concepts -- most notably Photo Fighter X, where you digitize images around you to create your own custom fighter.

  This latest first party DSi Ware game, which just hit Japan today, isn't as wacky as that, but it does have singing monkeys!

  In "Make and Sing: Monkey Band" ("Tsukutte Utau Saru Band" in Japanese), you create songs and have a band of monkeys sing them. You can make your song using preset phrases or even create your own 9 line tunes. The game takes care of the background melody and other areas for you by having you select themes and genres from a growing list of options.

  Unlike Photo Fighter X, which could easily be brought over to regions outside of Japan, this one will likely suffer a Friend Collection fate. Like that title, it seems to rely heavily on the phonetic nature of Japanese facilitating the sound digitation process.

  Japanese DSi owners with Japanese skills can access the Japanese DSi Ware shop to download Monkey Band now at 800 DSi Points.
