Nintendo of America revealed today that Professor Layton and the Unwound Future -- the third game in the popular puzzle adventure series -- is being bumped up in the company's line-up schedule. It will now land on shelves September 12th in the US.
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future places the professor and his trusted apprentice at the center of a spellbinding adventure after they receive a strange letter sent from 10 years in the future. The series so far has sold more than 1.4 million copies in the US, a modest success for a franchise with two games under its belt.
Level-5 is also working on a 3DS sequel: Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle. But don't expect that until well into 2011.
