  • Take off the coat: A detailed dismantle evaluating of NDSi

We believe many of you are very interested ing the interior structure of NDSi so let’s get strait to the point, here is a detailed analysis with anatomical pictures from NDS9.

Unlike former products, cross head screws are used here. We can’t see any of those screws used in DSL or GBA here.

Open up the battery cover we can see the new battery is totally different from the DSL one, not only the shape but also the parameter.

On the back of the new battery we can see “3.6V 840mAh 3Wh”, so it seems NDSi runs away with more electricity(due to the bigger screen), and the battery has a smaller capacity than the DSL one.

There are eyelets fixed on the screws on the battery cover to prevent missing.

Partial structure of the bottom screen. The mainboard is divided into CPU and cross module. The LR key, volume adjusting key and SD card slot are fixed on the bottom covery of the screen.

Bottom covery. SD card slot is marked by yellow circle, red circle for LR key and pink circle for volume adjusting key.

The main board. There are more winding displacements and jumperwires due to divided modules. Winding displacements are marked by yellow circle, red for other connections(Parts out of sight unmarked)
