  　　Following up on the heels of the special Pichu giveaway, Nintendo will offer a special downloadable Pokemon from February 27 to March 13. This time it's the wish granting Pokemon, Jirachi.

  　　Jirachi is one of those Legendary Pokemon that players cannot obtain through normal gameplay, and it's been a while since it was given away (it was a big deal back in the Ruby and Sapphire days).

  　　What makes this particular Jirachi cool and unique is that if you trade it to HeartGold or SoulSilver, you can use it to unlock a special route in your Pokewalker, the pokeball shaped pedometer that comes with every copy of the new game. This is just one of the special Pokewalker routes that have been offered in Japan, allowing players to catch rare and special Pokemon outside of the actual game.
