  In the interest of keeping mankind from extinction, we try and avoid writing about announcements of announcements of announcements. But we're going to make an exception in this case, and we think you'll feel that we made the right choice.

  Bloomberg Japan announced today that Nintendo Japan's head of PR Yasuhiro Minagawa announced to them that Nintendo will be announcing the 3DS's pricing and release time frame in Japan on September 29.

  Got that? It looks like September 29 is when we'll at last find out when we'll be able to get the 3DS and how much we'll have to pay for it.

  Bloomberg also said that Nintendo plans on announcing shipment targets for the year. Someone should be able to take all this information and figure out how much the 3DS is going to go for on Ebay following release.

  The Bloomberg report says that Minagawa revealed all this insider information to them during a telephone interview conducted earlier today.
