Capcom announced that Resident Evil: Revelations, the 3DS survival horror game, uses the same MT Framework engine that powers console games like Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5. According to Capcom, the engine delivers stereoscopic visuals and "graphical quality comparable to consoles."
You can judge for yourself in the trailer below. Of course, since it isn't stereoscopic, and there is as of yet no way of knowing whether these scenes are in-engine or pre-rendered, it's not exactly the most accurate representation of the 3DS's capabilities. It is, though, still a trailer for a new Resident Evil game, and as such it's loaded with entertainingly overacted dialogue.
